Evaluation of European Projects PDF Print E-mail

The monitoring of activities undertaken as well as the evaluation of the efficiency of partnerships at both a national and transnational level represent winning factors in the candidature of project proposals to European financing programmes.

The Italian Institute of Evaluation, as a leader in Italy in evaluative research and in the analysis of networks, can be considered a qualified and reliable partner for the evaluation of European projects. Its involvement guarantees an element of added value when an application is being made. The activities of evaluation undertaken by the Institute are carried out through the use of a series of instruments, some of which are:

  • The realisation of activities of training evaluation, developed in the application stage, aimed at determining the coherence, the feasibility and the competitiveness of the request for financing in relation to the objectives of the programme, its priorities and the criteria defined in the call for applicants for financing;
  • The carrying out of in-process and follow-up evaluation activities, aimed at determining the coherence between project forecasts and results obtained, the methodology utilised, the productivity of the workgroup, the overall outcome of the project and pin-pointing and correcting possible problematic elements;External auditing activities geared towards improvement and organisational learning and the drafting of evaluative reports;
  • Support activities, monitoring and evaluation of the efficiency of partnerships (networks) in multilingual and multicultural contexts;
  • Conducting round-table talks between project partners and support in the formation of Scientific Boards, comprising members of different professions;
  • Support in budgeting, accounting and finance management activities;

The procedures and instruments for the management of monitoring/evaluation activities for European projects are from time to time determined in accordance with the Applicant organisation and submitted for approval by the Scientific Coordinator of the project.
