Monitoring can be defined as the process of collecting data and information on the implementation methods applied to a project or a policy.
Monitoring activities realized by Istituto Italiano di Valutazione are addressed to:
- Resume the state of actions developed in different contexts interested by the project/service, according to a regular time schedule;
- Homogenize the data and information collection system applied to partners or units of offer;
- Verify the correspondence between what expected by the project design and what actually realized throughout the development of the project actions
Project and service monitoring is realized through:
- The creation of result and output indicators and the identification of expected thresholds;
- The creation of the project Logical Framework;
- The creation and periodical distribution of monitoring forms to project partners;
- The creation of information systems.
